Sohail Navid Malik Hanif is of Pakistani origin and has spent most of his life in England and the Middle East. He has a BEng in Information Systems Engineering from Imperial College in London.
Sidi Sohail has studied privately with scholars in Amman, Jordan, specifically Arabic with Shaykh Ali Hani (with the main focus being Arabic grammar), fiqh with Shaykh Faraz Rabbani, and aqida with Shaykh Isa Rabih. He currently works as a full time instructor in Arabic grammar at the Qasid Institute of Arabic language in Amman, where he also resides with his wife. He is particularly passionate about Arabic, tafsir, and fiqh. Sidi Sohail has been teaching at SunniPath since the Spring 2006 semester.
